HomeParentsParents’ Association

Parents’ Association.

The SCS Parents’ Association works to benefit our girls by linking the School and its families.

Throughout the year the PA hosts many social events to bring parents together, as a Grade and as a full community. Additionally, it fundraises in support of the varied programs and activities that augment the SCS experience for our girls.

A Message From The PA President

On behalf of the St. Clement’s School Parents’ Association, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new and returning students and their families. I hope you had a wonderful summer and feel recharged for a great school year ahead.

The PA, in partnership with the School, works to build a strong community and to fundraise — all to enrich our daughters’ school experience. All SCS parents are members of the PA. Throughout the school year, we host several events to bring together and engage our wonderful community. Some of these events include the Welcome Fair, coffee mornings, and the Jingle Mingle. These occasions are great ways to meet other SCS families. We are also working hard to explore new ideas to help keep our parent community engaged and connected throughout the year.

The success of the Parents’ Association is dependent upon the support of our volunteers. It is never too early or too late to get involved in a whole range of volunteering capacities. Additionally, it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other SCS parents, and feel more connected to the community. Please consider volunteering.

Throughout the year we will be communicating with you through the weekly SCS enews, the PA Edsby group, and through your daughters’ Grade Parent Representatives. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me, any PA Executive member, or your Grade Parent Rep. A full listing of our names is available on the PA Edsby group.

I look forward to meeting and working with you all. Once again, welcome, and best wishes for a successful school year.

I look forward to getting to know each of you better during the upcoming school year!

Sincerely,

Betty Kneis

We are also looking for people willing to take on leadership roles. If you are interested in an Executive, Convenor, or Grade Parent role please speak with Cherie Tam, Volunteer Coordinator, Betty Kneis, President, or Nancy Hotson, Past-President.

Parent Socials

Parent socials are an important way for SCS parents to meet and reconnect with other parents in their daughter’s grade. These gatherings will look and feel differently this year than they have in the past. Please watch your inbox for emails from your Grade Parents. It is our intention that these popular events will continue to bring the parent community together and provide SCS parents with the opportunity to get to know each other a little bit better!

Occasional Volunteering

If you are not sure you can make a commitment for a specific activity, but are willing to volunteer for an hour or two occasionally, please contact the Parents’ Association Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers may be called upon to help at any Parents’ Association or school event.
